Peanuts Begins by Charles Schulz for May 05, 2019

I’ve tried once to read “The Brothers Karamazov” in the two weeks’ alluded time, but the story was just too long and I’m not much of a fast reader.

I imagine that at least the book has to have drawings or pics.

I remember the children’s library in my hometown. Lots of books a kid could read in a few minutes, let alone a day. Even one in the Dick and Jane class.

I used to work in a primary school (grades 1-10). I was in the library one day talking to the librarian, and some kid had just returned a book that was lying on the table. I picked it up and thumbed through it and said: “What!? This book has over 150 pages and not a single picture! How do you expect anyone to read this!?” The look on the librarian’s face was priceless.

Quite the beret, Monsieur Charles.

I finished with a lot of books which are still on my shelf – doesn’t mean I read them all the way through.

I read a Peanuts paperback one day.
