Guess when this was originally written, people still listened to radio shows over TV…. I don’t think every home had a TV (or two or three) back in the 50s.

I only listen to the radio when I’m in the car and it’s always NPR because the music stations don’t have music that I like. I had Serius xm for a while, but seventeen dollars a month is too steep for me.

My car radio is always on, mostly to Serius (music only) once in a while to hear “Bonehead of the day” on an FM station which also has 60’s to 80’s music, too.

CB gave that radio a real station Break!!!

Tubes. Funny thing is, this strip is about two years out from the last radio produced with tubes.

Technology is far more advanced now, CB. You’d have to kick a smartphone now… On the plus side, it takes much less effort!

I have the same feeling when the nightly news comes on.
