It’s MUELLER TIME! If Comrade TRUMPovich McBonespurs messes with Mueller, that draft-dodger has picked a fight with the wrong Bronze Star (with “V” for Valor) / Purple Heart war hero.
Robert Mueller volunteered, went to Vietnam, and was a highly decorated war hero.
Trump avoided Vietnam by claiming “bone spurs” (although he had been active in college sports and playing soldier at military school) but supported the war as long as someone else was sent to die in his place.
Trump, who has been a Democrat, Independent, Libertarian and only recently hijacked a RepubliCON party of gullible suckers who easily welcomed his snake oil scams, has a long history of lying. Trump has repeatedly been sued for fraud and was denied a Las Vegas casino permit based on moral grounds (he did get a gaming license, but not the final permit to proceed, which was blocked on moral grounds). Same thing also happened in Sydney, Australia.
Mueller is a life-long Republican with an impeccable reputation as a straight shooter and has never been caught in dishonesty or scandal of any kind.
In a long history as a prosecutor and head of the FBI, Mueller has never been caught in any wrongdoing.
Mueller is simply smarter than Trump. He even requested a delay in submitting the sentencing report on Mike Flynn until AFTER Trump submitted his (or his lawyers’) written answers to questions, so the Trump people would not have a chance to see what Mueller has and adjust their responses accordingly to avoid perjury. By filing the report AFTER receiving the Trump responses, Mueller has locked in those responses and can hold them responsible for perjury.
As much as I would love Mueller’s investigations to lead to Trump’s impeachment, I doubt it will, as it seems Republicans can’t find any fault in him, even if the orange buffoon himself tells us about his most recent unethical exploits. Mueller will come up with some dirt (who am I kidding, a LOT of dirt), and there will be some outrage, but the Trumpites will just yell, “fake news!”, or just ignore the whole thing. Then President Rump will go on to do something else that would get any other President impeached, and it will be forgotten.
Is the resident actually perceived by his supporters as being a world-class leader capable of making the best possible decisions for their children’s future?
Speaking from the left, I’m not in favor of impeachment, unless what Mueller reveals is so clear and so serious that it turns the Republican leadership against Trump. If impeachment is seen as a tool of partisan politics, that’s not good. We might end up with an endless tit-for-tat series of impeachments or threats of impeachments (Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Trump,……).
I’m putting more hope on the discovery process for the three suits concerning emoluments that just got the go ahead. According to the WashPost, the Saudis spent large bucks at Trump properties in Washington and elsewhere.
Trump is beside himself with fury while a lawsuit alleges he violated the emoluments clause of the Constitution, which states that a U.S. president may not profit from foreign governments. There has never been another president in U.S. history who openly placed his own interests above those of the country as Donny John does. There are increasing signs that Trump’s ability to skirt accountability in this regard is cracking. Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein opened an obstruction of justice investigation into Trump before special counsel Mueller’s appointment.
It’s really no surprise that the cabinet secretaries have all the faults of the man who appointed them (scoundrels, wreckers, and/or nitwits from top to bottom), but it’s more than a little surprising that a whole congress full of Republicans should overnight become feeble-minded, craven, and amoral, apparently not Trump’s fault, I suspect, so much as the trauma of having a Negro elected president. Twice. It’s not too surprising that some rather prominent and respectable life-long Republicans have formally resigned from the party.

Shouldn’t the door be on the other end to signify that Trump is painting himself into a corner while Mueller looks on with a bemused look.

The problem is, the Republicans are the same sort of scumbag criminals as Trump himself. The chances of them doing anything are slim to none.

Trump needs to throw himself on the mercy of the court. Or, perhaps, throw himself off a cliff……….
