RIP old soldier. Wonder whether Laura B. will prefer Michelle’s company at the funeral. Naw, the GOP would much rather see her associated with that pretty glamorous girl, dammit I can’t remember her name; you know the really smart glamorous 3rd wife of whatshisname. Michelle isn’t nearly as glamorous plus she’s married to Barrack Obama. Gonna be interesting to see how whatshisname interacts or avoids.
So, will dumb donnie go to the funeral, or will he blow it off and go golfing after saying “I ONLY like Republicans who DON’T DIE!”? I wouldn’t put it past him for a micro-second!
I didn’t like George HW Bush’s presidency. He sided with businesses against workers’ interests. He was too far removed from the plight of voters to know how to help them. His and his wife’s lack of parenting allowed W to grow up as a self entitled over privileged frat boy who expected someone to clean up all his messes for him well into adulthood. And while I considered him a bad President, he didn’t seem like a bad person. He served his time in the military instead of getting multiple BS deferments to out of going to war. He seemed to have at least a shred of decency. He was gracious in his defeat against Bill Clinton. He didn’t turn a blind eye to the NRA but instead called them out on their BS and canceled his lifetime membership. And in times of crisis, he joined with other former Presidents to try to help.
This is such a beautiful depiction of the reunion between George and Barbara Bush! IT’s too bad that politics has to color the love expressed in this caption by snide undertones.
