Oddly, this IS the job of the ship’s cat… I wonder when Chip will change the strip to “The Ship’s Mice”, since EVERY plot and most every day is full of stories about the mice, and only a few about how these are “pirates” because that’s their job, not their lifestyle… ;-)

Well well………..we enjoy this strip, mice and all, except for Scratch, he is beyond horrible. Thank you, Chip, for still providing a marvelous strip.

Chip Dunham is a master cartoonist. The more oddball and over the top it gets, the funnier it gets. Keep it up Mr. Dunham. As long as Louie, Charlie, Nate and the Captain are there. You have Wabbits, Sharks, Wolves, Sea Monsters, but best of all “Green Ship Pirates”. This strip is nuts. The more nuts it gets the funnier it is.

PS A fitting goodbye Scratch ending strip would be Scratch removed from the ship with a huge bandage/sling around his paw. I hear a lot of amens!

Dear Mr. Dunham, I just want to thank you for giving so many people so much joy in your strip. You have accomplished the remarkable in making even grumpypuppy happy by annoying him. Looking forward to many, MANY more!

I think that I would like to see more storylines about the pirates themselves.
