The White House circulated a doctored video edited to subtly portray the incidental contact as approaching a physical blow. The doctored video is an exact match with a video posted by the conspiracy theorist Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars. Analysis of the clip prove frames 13–15 within it are paused (all three repeating the same image), resulting in compression of action at the lowering of Acosta’s arm.

The authentic video of the event shows that Acosta did not mistreat the intern. “Pardon me, ma’am,” he said, when she reached for the mic. After asking another question, he gave her the mic.

When all is said and done, history will accurately record that Mr. Acosta was faithfully doing his job in asking a public servant important & relevant questions to which the people — the President’s employers — have every right and expectation of having answered to them. Mr. Trump’s reactions, retaliations, and faked ‘evidence’ will also be documented.

Worst American President ever will be his final legacy, learned not from the media or Democrats, but from every student’s textbooks.

Ramirez has it spot on. The difference is Cronkite was a giant in those days who had to pretend to be to objective and got away with it until he reported the American victory in Tet as a defeat. Today Acosta is just another small fry left winger in the progressive era where it is no longer necessary to hide your hostility toward traditional America.

Acosta did not make the news, he became part of it due to the actions of the Resident in the White House.

Some day Trump will be gone; there will surely be some kind of backlash against the destruction of American democracy; but the egg has been broken, and it’s going to be hard to get it back in the shell.
