I’d say what we have here is a failure to clean your room.

In answer to Tony’s question, I’m right here, “here”, from my point of view….

but I’m not right there “here,” if you mean “here” where you are.

Then again…. it could be interpreted as "Are you right, here?

And I don’t know.

I try to be right, but sometimes… you know… I’m not right….

as some people will gladly point out….

ie, “That girl’s just not right, ya know?”

What we have here is a failure to listen.

We never said the B word when I was growing up. If you said you were bored you got handed a vacuum!

In a case such as this, Dear Old Dad should have offered to clean the room himself. THAT always got my attention. Mum cleaned up with a trash bag in one hand and just tossed out anything that was on the floor.

What he is actually asking is for pop to entertain him. Somehow. :D

I’m sure there are some fascinating podcasts about quilting or flower arranging he could listen to.
