As a skater, (now an ADULT one), I STILL get up at 5am for early morning ice. But my mother is long dead and I’ll bet she’s finally getting the sleep she missed.
Lucy, you’re supposed to be so smart. You should know that’s not true. In some parts of the world, families are still sleeping. In some parts of the world, parents and kids are having breakfast. Other parents and kids are having lunch. Others are having dinner. And others are just now getting ready for bed.
Don’t blame Lucy, it must be a California thing. That’s why Hollywood keeps producing Christmas shows where people “meet” Santa on Christmas Eve, just before he takes off to deliver his Christmas presents, forgetting that Christmas starts Dec 24th at 5am ET here in the states.
If you don’t understand that, Google “international date line.”
By the way, it’s more than a little pathetic when people try to live vicariously through their children. They should live vicariously through their comic strips!
