I will always remember Roger Moore as “The Saint”. He tried to branch out into Bond and Ffolkes, neither of which seemed to be a good vehicle for him.

I can sort of see how the James Bond franchise made sense in the 1960’s and ’70’s, but its continued existence is baffling. Just nostalgia and great theme music, I suppose.

If I was a fan of that alcoholic spy, I would’ve found more humor; but I wouldn’t care for him if he never started drinking.

Agreed, Roger Moore was just channeling ‘The Saint’ into the role of James Bond, making the Moore Bond movies to be rather boring and one-dimensional.

Roger Moore was the comic strip comedy version of James Bond.

Roger Moore aside, for me the raven means that loser, Michael Moore! His last couple of “efforts” have flopped, hopefully, he’ll get the hint and just go away.

Bond is like a comic strip character that never ages…..in the Ian Fleming books, he served in WW2 , which would make him in his 90’s or more.

I would think that these days he would have a DB-7 wheel chair with machine-guns , a bullet proof shield and an ejection seat

I liked Roger Moore! He’s the Bond I grew up with! (He’s the first one I saw in movie theaters, starting with, “The Spy Who Loved Me”)
