Stationed in Alabama, ’Nam, then Georgia after ’Nam. My first segregated drinking fountains, post-Act, were still around, IN FLORIDA! The water fountain was white only, the Black “fountain” was a section of dirty hose on a hose bib. The toilet was white indoors, the Black was an outhouse behind the store/service station.
There is one poster here who persists in blaming Democrats for racism and discrimination in the post bellum South. He is historically correct. Let’s just leave it at that, shall we, and not keep feeding the troll.
