If you were riding on the road against the flow of traffic or not signaling when you’re turning, then he has every right to give you a ticket. I wish cops would ticket bicyclists more. Maybe more of them would obey the laws of the road.
I actually got pulled over on my bike once. Cop thought I was drinking ’cause I had a brown bottle and weaving. The bottle was IBC root beer I snagged from work before leaving at 1 AM, and I was using the dotted lines on the street as a slalom course because it was 1 AM in a town that pretty much shuts down by 10 PM so literally the only vehicles on the road were me and the police cruiser.
