Never shave a double-coated dog like a Farley! Shepherds, golden retrievers, huskies etc. should never be shaved. They naturally regulate their body temperature. When you shave their fur, they get too hot and too cold, and their fur will never grow back quite the same.
John is so cheap! A good grooming isn’t inexpensive, but it’s far better than stuffing him in people clothes. Notice the clothes he picked were gifts from HER mom.

Dogs hate being dressed in human clothes! Yet, for our own sadistic pleasure we humans keep doing it—-and the dogs keep loving us anyway!
