Sadly, red states don’t seem to care about air pollution. Texas has had poor air for decades, and it’s not all caused by climate change. Politicians like Joe Barton are bought off by the polluters. Thank goodness he won’t be back.

Who needs air? Who needs water? Who needs light? Who needs food? Evidently not people who voted for Il Douche.

Donald Trump is a GREAT “Politician”… “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.” Groucho Marx

The irony is that when the environmental sh*t really hits the fan, everything the trumpsters hate, regulations, restrictions, job losses, etc. will come in to being in spades. By exercising a balanced combination of regulatory and market measures, which always do better in combination than by themselves, we can avoid or mitigate the hardest measures required once things get to emergency levels.

Crooked liar Trump said he would eliminate the national debt in 8 years.

Trump and the republicans raised the national debt by 2 trillion in 14 months.

You have to admit, hooking Teddy Roosevelt’s spinning coffin up to an electrical generator to power the diggers diverting the Colorado river to supply the water to fight the wildfires in California was a stroke of genius.

The Trump administration moved to prop up the declining coal industry with an overhaul of Obama-era pollution rules, acknowledging that the increased emissions from aging coal-fired plants could kill hundreds more people annually and cost the country billions of dollars.

Have you seen pictures of Pittsbugh from 100 years ago or Los Angeles from 50 years ago and today? Have you compared them to today’s pictures of Bejing, New Delhi or Jakarta? It seems that the country with regulations had cleaned up its’ air. Well, that is over now.

Coming back into LA from ‘Nam in ’67 they switched to instrument flight rules because the smog was so bad. NEPA, Clean Air Act, and other NIXoN signed laws changed that for the better. Now we’re about to go back to WORSE than back then, because morons put Trump in charge, and he hired even dumber morons to run his administration. They like CO2, say it’s good for us? Put them all in a room with 100% Co2 atmosphere, for a couple days. Problem solved.

This reminds me of an old Star Trek episode; rich people were living in the clouds, above the smog; poor people lived on the planet, coughing – Troglodytes? Ol’ Gene was a man before his time.
