Society learned that when the very first season of Big Brother came out. It was so dull that over time they’ve turned to “lightly-scripted drama”, weird in-house games/contests for resources, etc. What started as a reality show to see how complete strangers would be like stuck in a house together turned into yet another non-reality show where everything is planned out to ensure the audience doesn’t get bored. So yes, being a fly-on-the-wall for the most part is boring with the occasional juicy/crazy moments that everyone goes through.
