Dang it! Now I have to go look up those comics!
Possible ways:
1) As cartoonists mostly have their strips done well in advance, they could be supplying Lennie with the images beforehand…
2) Special dispensation from all concerned to cut the time needed to get the strip out down to a few hours…
3) Lennie has sold his soul… ☺
