Gee, I don’t remember my mother teaching me that version. But speaking of such things, WARNING – POSSIBLY TMI IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE: I had to go to the doctor the other day because I was having symptoms of a urinary tract infection. I had drunk 2 bottles of water before I left home to be prepared for giving the specimen. After waiting 35 minutes, the need became urgent, and I spoke discreetly to the receptionist, asking for a specimen cup, but she didn’t seem to comprehend, even when the other receptionist explained it to her! Finally, a man standing at the next window said loudly, for all the waiting room to hear, “SHE NEEDS SOMETHING TO PEE IN!” That worked – in less than 5 minutes I was in the back bathroom with my cup!
