Something of an extended Fourth of July hangover?

There’s an image I won’t get rid of for hours.

As the Basselope dreams of Penguins frolicking…

Talk about the Forest Primeval. But what is that red blotch adjacent to the mouse perched on Rosebud’s right rear foot? It looks to me like blood, but what else could it be?

2. Little woodland creatures reclining on her fuzziness!

3. Hedgehog holding back her eyelid to allow hummingbirds to sip at her nectar.

There’s a chipmunk under one ear and a banana and dandelions held in the back with his /her prehensile tail. Love the way the light strikes through the trees!

Doesn’t the San Diego Zoo have a conservation program for them?

This reminds me of my daughter’s relationship with humming birds. If they return in the spring before she fills the feeder, they buzz her if she’s outside, or hover outside a window to catch her eye.
