If you’re going to preen, at least do up your hair Arlo. Maybe put on some more colorful clothes to attract the female of the species.

When Arlo was younger, all he thought about was sex. Now that he is older, I suspect that that is all he can do much of the time.

The stair repair should have been enough to induce hormonal euphoria in the female via the “feather her nest” strategy. You seem to have a tough old bird. Next try “preening her feathers” with a new pair of shoes, as article of clothing or jewelry.

Dog people and cat people don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but one thing they can agree on is that there’s nobody weirder than bird people.
