Don’t you wish we could all do that to telemarketers & scam callers?

I know I’m a few days late saying this, but you can tell this comic is about the “Middle Ages” because the telephone is attached to the wall.

I prefer the Seinfeld method to dealing with telemarketers.

Before they went to “press 1 to continue” I would talk to them for as long as I could and then tell them to go get a real job.

Before robo-callers we used to have a device that you held up to the phone mouthpiece, and it would generate a high pitched feedback squeal

Try one of those hand held boat horns. Maybe a little rough on your phone but the guy on the other end gets a real earfull.

I remember when a wall phone was a wonderful new idea.

Problem with noise generators is that almost all telemarketers use recorded messages. Not much can result from blasting at a recorded message.

Now three quarters of incoming calls to me come from robocallers using spoofed source numbers. I am seriously considering going off the grid.

@BiathlonNut Not worth it. If you don’t recognize the caller number, don’t answer. If it’s real or important they’ll leave a message. What peeves me off are the threatening robocalls that tell you that if you don’t call back an arrest warrant will be issued for you.

Suddenly a rotary dial appears on the phone? There wasn’t one in yesterday’s (7/18/18) toon. The wiz is really good!

Or you could get one of those whistles that the English Bobbies use and blow it loud into the phone.
