I don’t think they are exactly stupid. They just totally don’t care about anything other than themselves. I don’t think they even are deliberately destroying the country, any more than I deliberately destroy an ant colony when I plant a tree. Trump is using the presidency to benefit his financial empire. Any problem that goal creates for the American people is just collateral damage.

Stupid is as stupid does.

They can trade them in for striped suits.

On Tuesday, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) lab at Hickam, which identifies the remains of soldiers killed or missing in action, said it had yet to be notified to prepare for returns.

Trump later appeared to walk back his claim, saying during a Thursday Cabinet meeting, “I understand … they’ve already sent back, or are in the process of sending back, the remains of our great heroes who died in North Korea during the war.”

Even if it were true that Mellania’s coat was in reference to the media, it was in poor taste to wear it during that particular trip. Both she and her handlers should have known better. If she had empathy for others before marrying Trump, the lifestyle she’s lived since then has drained it away.
