“Disappointing, if not really surprising, news. Given the state of #HumanRights in today’s world, the US should be stepping up, not stepping back” — UN Human Rights Chief #Zeid following USA decision to withdraw from U.N. Human Rights Council.#StandUp4HumanRights— UN Human Rights
Joan – Don’t blindly accept the sources you are now using but expand, do some research, there is a lot going on you are missing. Facts make a difference.
We welcome you to our country,And though hope may be more than we can give,We offer you our love and our fervent wish,That safe among us in freedom you shall live.
Though imprisoned you are behind these walls,On the outside it is we who are not freeOf the guilt and the shame for our government’s acts,And crimes against humanity.
You have fled from violence, you have fled from fear,Then your children from your breasts were torn,But we shall sing and we shall shout,For to stop this sin our countrymen warn.
When first our ancestors unto this land,To escape oppression they came,With open arms it took us in,And to you we owe the same.
Where were all the bleedings hearts for US citizens convicted of crimes and sent to prison while their young children were then moved into foster care? Amazing that illegals get more attention than citizens.
If the illegals don’t want to do the time, then don’t come here and do the crime; don’t expect me to shed any tears in either case.
The people coming here are afraid for their lives. That is why they have made a thousand mile journey with young children. It is shameful that some are not aware of this. Also, if a young child had a parent who did do criminal activity, this is not the fault of the baby or toddler of that person!
It has been argued by many Republicans that all lawmakers have families which are separated. This is a strawman argument. We are not simply talking about lawbreakers being separated from their children. When American lawbreakers go to prison, their children tend to live with other family members or they go to foster families. This is a far cry from sending babies and young children automatically to detention facilities! I just saw an article on Yahoo which said that hundreds of millions of dollars have been made by businesses due to the detention facilities. Now we are getting to the nitty-gritty. $
Well, I hear that trump is now rescinding the zero tolerance policy which he claimed was not his to begin with. Just like he had to pay off a woman to not say that he had an affair with her. He didn’t have the affair, therefore, he had to give her $130,000. Hmm. He didn’t have an affair with me either, where and when do I collect my $130,000? He also wants credit for the North Korea trip after he brought us to the brink of nuclear war. Gee, thanks.

A surefire way parents can avoid being separated from their children is to refrain from entering the country without permission.

US law … allows any person whatsoever to present themselves at the border and request asylum
Requesting asylum at the border is not the same as crossing the border first and then requesting asylum.

Then: Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Now: The little children who come to me must be made to suffer: for such is the kingdom of Trump.

Only those with no heart, no brain and no courage can listen to those children crying and use the bible to justify it.
