Dad should have just started singing.

    Come on. Everybody, now….

“He knows when you’ve been sleeping…….”

That look? “We wish you weren’t living with us We wish you weren’t living with us, We wish you weren’t living with us, Were not happy your here.”

I don’t take well to being awakened unnecessarily by anyone but my cat. She can’t tell time, and she purrs.

I thought waking the parents before 5:00 a.m. on Christmas morning was enough to get you on the naughty list for sure…

The only way I would have woken my father at 3:45 a.m. is if I had a death wish.

My nephew, Kristopher, was like this. He would get them up around 4- 4:30, my Kristina on the other hand was and still is a sleeper. We would have to wake her up around 8:00

Boy, John looked so grumpy and glared at Michael for waking him up at that time on the clock 3:45 AM. Michael, you better zip up and go back to bed immediately or your father would throw a fit.

    Feliz Navidad! Merry Christmas!

When he was about 5, our kid shuffled down the hall while I was still putting the bike together. We helped him back to the bed, and he SAYS he doesn’t remember that ever happening.

In my day, the rule was that EVERYONE had to be up before presents got opened – anyone caught sneaking around by the tree got sent back to bed, pronto!

I had a landlady once who told me that HER parents were even stricter; not only did everyone have to be up, but they all had to have gotten dressed, made their beds, and finished breakfast before anything could be opened. Kids today have it so easy!
