It’s football tradition to throw a flags at wrongdoers.

At last, we get to the serious and realistic view of it. The NFL is not the government. If they do not allow protests in their name on their time, that is legal and acceptable. People who are not okay with that are free to quit and seek multi-million dollar contracts elsewhere, in jobs that pay as well, allow the expression of personal grievances in public, and also have none of the associated risks. Maybe they can put their college educations to use!

They don’t stop vending beer and hot dogs during the anthem. And I am dead certain all those good patriots are buying them to show respect…… TO THE BOTTOM LINE!

ASK me to stand for the National Anthem, and I have no problem with it. TELL ME that I MUST STAND, and my butt stays planted in my seat! PERIOD!!

Brilliant, Mr. Bolling ! You have encapsulated the entire hypocritical farce.

The NFL doesn’t give a damn about patriotism, social issues, or the health and well being of its players. All it cares about is the bottom line and not incurring the wrath of Emperor tRUMP and his minions, for fear of loss of tax breaks and revenue.

When Trump is flagged for flagrant treason, I’m pretty sure millions of people will be down on BOTH knees, giving thanks!

I wonder how many fans in support of the jingoistic punishment stand at home when the anthem is played? How many would submit to mandatory displays of patriotism at their work?

If the NFL players, who like to pass themselves off as tough guys, really had any real guts, they would all kneel in solidarity with their black teammates and to flip the bird at NFL management and the racist-in-chief in the Oval Office. What would the team owners do? Fire everybody?

The national anthem has become a major pain to me, because of the people that sing it. You’re supposed to be leading the crowd in song to honor our country, and it these people decide to “make it my own” then I can’t sing along, AND THAT SUCKS! If a pop star wants to “make it their own” put it on your next album, but, if you’re leading the crowd in the national anthem, SING IT SO EVERYONE CAN SING WITH YOU!

Kneeling is disrespectful? Try telling that to God!
