There’s such a thing as doing your job. These guys seem to be enjoying it way too much. I guess either the cruelty filters down from the top, or cruel people go into that job.

Just one more stain on America’s reputation… We should be used to it by now…. They’re going to change military installations into concentration camps…. So who’s going to be the next demographic group that they are going to roundup to deport…. Black football players?? Catholic school children?? The elderly and the infirm who are not contributing to the GDP?? In this type of a political environment, we are all at risk of becoming an object for deportation Hitler called it ethnic cleansing…. What is Trump going to call it?????

ICE is not smart enough to mount a true sting operation. Much of their current evil while inspired by Trump should be laid at the teenie, tiny feet of Jeff B. Sessions who playing out the fantasies he had after someone poured a bucket of pig’s blood on him simply to get him to shut up about putting black people in their place.

Martin, in case you missed it, Baslim, Neoconman, Ahab and I are all opposed to the trump ICE debacle, but we don’t express that opposition in crass profanity but in more a nuanced manner. In truth, your sledgehammer approach is not likely to gain adherents, but satire and ridicule are more likely to show up the inhumanity of the Trump approach. I have noticed that you too often resort to invective. This does NOT help the cause. It doesn’t convince people when you call them “shifts” and fail to recogtnize that they also are humans. Maybe you could moderate your posts to see them also as humans, flawed as we all are, but nonetheless human?

Kilgore, your original comment deserved the parody it got. You suggested a “tit-for-tat” attitude with regard to the ICE people. You would dehumanize them as much as the fright-wingers dehumanize the illegals.

Jesus did not have your “eye for an eye” attitude, but rather “Forgive them, father, for they know not what they do.” Neocon was actually promoting the latter view while you were carrying on in the vein of the former remark. Shame on you.

Threatening people with hell for doing their jobs tends not to work much anymore, and less and less so each year. You may not like that, but it is reality.

But people do not like being mocked (you certainly didn’t), whether they are the ICE crew grabbing people, or the people like Sessions & Trump, etc. The higher up the office, the less they like it because they are ever more prideful. Parody & mockery really upsets Trump, in case you haven’t been paying attention.

So how does you saying that ICE people should not be regarded as human help the children?

Are you planning to confront the ICE folks and tell them that they are not humans anymore? Good luck with that. Making someone angry at you by dehumanizing them will really help your cause. That’s sarcasm, btw, because in fact making them angry at you instead of their orders is the wrong thing to do. Study what people like Martin Luther King did when confronted with the brutality of southern segregation.

All quite true.

The practices of the ICE raids are no better morally than the entirely legal practices of slavers in separating children from parents. Until some legal ruling says that the ICE practices are illegal, your ranting (in a totally unimportant forum) that the ICE agents are non human is not going to help anyone.

You want to really help the children? Do the search I suggested and find an organization that you can help in the fight against the i administration’s actions. Otherwise, you are just venting foolishly.

In your accusations, you left out:

Martin, I am flagging your obscenities and attacks on other posters. Be warned. No one has attacked you. You have been on the attack the whole time.
