If this was in regard to a fat woman, these jokes would not have been made, but because it uses a male figure its ok. In the real world, Melvin might consider himself a ladies’ man, but that would only be to protect himself from the cruel people around him. Because he is over weight and unattractive, in the real world he would be working three times harder to be better than anyone else because studies have proven that attractive people get more pay, more opportunities, and job advancement. The real world is cruel to people like Melvin, but the comic world seems even crueler.
