In some weird way, I’d really like to know the source of light that casts those shadows while they stand so very close to the wall. Well, have fun today, folks!

Well – they got a room with a window – but they’re still stuck inside with machines! Those poor kids – their summer vacation will be fading away soon – and the only thing they will have to show for it is the fact that they had had the opportunity to memorize every inch of several small, boxy rooms.

Poor Sluggo – this has to qualify as cruel and unusual punishment.

Nancy’s teaching us about the Sixth Amendment today, which is one of the better ones all things considered.

And what happens when he thinks that the message is from that cute girl on the other side of the classroom?

If you compare Dennis the Menace from, say, before 1960 and after, he’s become less menac-y and more just an annoying kid. The way to tell if you’re looking at benign or nasty Dennis is to look at his eyebrows. In the old strips, they looked like Nancy’s in the last panel. It’s nice to see that nuance is alive and well.

Jaimes must be on vacation. These don’t follow. Nancy is on summer break. The Sunday comic should be an expanded one. That said, how come Nancy doesn’t text by talking? Isn’t that what all the kewl kids do nowadays?

Can’t see much of it, but that painting on the wall is not a Bushmiller painting. Good to see.

You can always tell when it’s Bad Nancy because of the ominous shadow that her helmet hairdo casts on her forehead. As her anger draws more and more on the Dark Side of the Force, you’ll soon only see her eyes burning like coals out of the darkness…

I am outraged! Outraged, I say, that Jaimes would dare to portray a woman as causing distress to a male in any way! Bushmiller would never have drawn this liberal departure from the traditional values of the 50’s. And by that I mean the 1750’s. B.C. Society has just gone to absolute hell since Hammurabi died.
