The Nobel prize shouldn’t have been given to Obama since the only thing he had done at that point was to NOT be Bush. Obama’s embrace of diplomacy is admirable, but hardly “prize-worthy”. It only resulted in cheapening the prize and gave the RW something to denigrate.
However, even giving serious consideration to giving it to Trump is laughable. His taunting of “rocket man” encouraged Kim to escalate nuclear development. This did result in an accident at one of the nuclear development sites that caused a mountain to cave-in and China’s investigation found radioactivity so they slapped on more sanctions – this is what made Kim want to negotiate.
I don’t subscribe to every news site in the world, so I could have missed something, but has anyone on the Nobel committee suggested that Trump is being considered for the Peace Prize, or is that just a chant from Trump and his supporters?
