If trade deals were not important – why is the Don so upset about China? EU was founded on trade deals after Europe having hosted two WWs – European countries no longer fight each other. Trade is the best cushion we have against stupidity leading to war…

    “Numbers dont lie….”

    People with numbers lie.

Which people? Probably all of them, though not all the lies are of the same size.

Ramirez’s cartoon is as truthful as the lie about ostriches sticking their heads in the sand (they use their long legs to run VERY quickly away from danger, after a kick, if necessary to escape the attack).

Can’t disagree with any of these comments. Ramirez, obviously a tRump supporter. Drawing 10. Point of view -10. Couldn’t be more in opposition. Bet he supports the secret FBI program to track so-called “black identity extremists” where, in one case, the FBI agent Keighley admitted the FBI had no evidence of any specific threats about harming police. Guardian reports that scientists are to grow ‘mini-brains’ using Neanderthal DNA. Maybe the could use MR’s DNA.

Precisely. This is EXACTLY what they did after the 1st Gulf War. Begged and whined and violated the sanctions right and left.

France and Germany are frothing to get in and get infrastructure contracts in Iran. Political pressure from their business community is enormous.

^ But, thankfully, Trump has ordered France and Germany to no longer trade with Iran and has threatened them with sanctions if they do. Our president is a master diplomat on the world stage.

^ There is very little difference between this situation and the actions of Europe and the US between the 2 gulf wars. Except that previously Clinton failed to impose sanctions of the EU despite blatant violations of the agreement to not trade with Iraq.

In this case the US is withdrawing from a deal it never should have been party to, and using the mechanism in that deal to reimpose (over 90-180 days) sanctions against Iran it should never have lifted. We will also penalize any nation that trades with Iran, 90-180 days out from now.

^ And they, of course, will simply roll over and accept it and never think to retaliate….
