Reputedly for a time Edgar Casey would sleep on a book and later claim he remembered what was in it.

That book is best absorbed while floating on a raft.

I would go to the library all summer getting books I wanted to read instead of the ones the teachers wanted me to read. That is why Classics Illustrated existed.

Or like the crib note version of The Great Gatsby that talked about Jordan Baker and what he was all about. Oops.

Lucy the pygmy Clydesdale is a wonderful foil for Danae. On a serious note, I wonder if our President uses the same logic in real life to learn?

Danae is definitely the female version of today’s Tom Sawyer (mean mean pride)…

I loved summer reading. I’d do it in a cool corner of the library, where it was quiet and I could read for hours and hours without any interruptions.

In Hawai`i we call that look Danae gave to Lucy ‘Steenk Eye.’
