This is more spot on than might be apparent to many people. L. Frank Baum’s original Wizard of OZ was very likely inspired by the populist/monetarist, silver v. gold, industrialist v. farmer v. banker politics of the 1890’s. In detail: https://web.archive.org/web/20111119204851/http://economics.rutgers.edu/dmdocuments/RockoffWizardofOz.pdf This interpretation is contested, but I’m persuaded.
And it’s the president that is left with no brain, no heart, and no courage. He did get the money though. So happy ending. Sarah Sanders favourite bedtime story for her kids.
At this point 500 billionaires control the policies that come out of Congress. There is a reason why the FCC blew up net neutrality and why lobbyist are getting state legislatures to do the same. There is a reason why Disney can con the city of Anaheim out of parking lot profits and taxes. BTW did y’all hear that Disney made 2.3 billion in profits, up 23% from last year? Guess how much of that is going to lobby Congress for copyright extensions?
Okay, let me think. It didn’t work for Ronald Regan. It didn’t work for George H. W. Bush. It didn’t work for George W. Bush. But it’s going to work for Donald J. Trump because “the principle is sound.” Or our new Russian Commissars will demonstrate how well Communist Socialism really works when the workers do what they’re told. Or when we’re all vaporized in a mushroom cloud, or left to die in agonizing slowness after a nuclear holocaust, I expect we won’t be too worried about what’s left of Wall Street, will we? Stay in Oz, Dorothy. Trust me, it’s safer there.
He is not sorry at all. That is exactly why they bribed all of those Republican politicians and had Trump establish his Goldman Sachs elite cabinet to take care of the 1%

THE MOVIE HAD A BETTER ENDING – {rhyme}
In the movie the Wizard got caught,
and Wicked creatures defeated.
But in REAL LIFE they’ve Not come to naught,
so Dorothies get yuugely mistreated.
“Toto, what HAVOC is wrought
’til Trumpistic stuff we’ve excreted.”

Obviously, Toles is just jealous of the corporate CEO’s and board member’s income and benefits. Maybe if he worked 12 days a week instead of 6? /s
