C’mon, people, if Chip Sansom had Thorny switching diners, Chip would lose a large percentage of his easier ‘punchlines’. When a cartoonist is ‘stuck’ for an idea, going with a “greasy spoon” joke is fairly easy, since jokes have been being made about “greasy spoons” for WELL over a hundred years, and it’s an easy laugh because EVERYONE identifies with and commiserates with the person dining there!
