I recently drove on a town road, in a neighboring town, that was paved with concrete over 55 years ago and still has no potholes. The asphalt roads near my home, less that 15 years old — when streets were widened and repaved — are literally disintegrating.

What can we do ? The government doesn’t have money for infrastructure maintenance. I know: let’s vote for the party that wants to reduce taxes (specially for the rich ), that ought to fix it.

The regressives should really be called the “pothole party” as they want to shrink government so it can be drowned in a bathtub. But, hey, why do we care about potholes? We’re well on the way to becoming a third world country where potholes are the norm and politics are authoritarian.

In Michigan we no longer drive on the right side of the road. WE DRIVE ON WHAT’S LEFT OF THE ROAD!

Republicans .. Can you believe ‘em ? They remove funding and then complain when the roads can’t get fixed.

Not only are we saving on letting our infrastructure crumble, but think of the revenue in moving violation tickets! What a great Republican solution, don’t fix anything and blame the little guy. Is it great yet?

Obama’s stimulus package had two flaws when it was first introduced. The first was that a third of it was tax cuts and the second problem was that it was not big enough to fix anything. I mean it bought the money for the shovels but not for the labor so…thanks Obama?

There is no money for repairs because Republicans have to borrow trillions to give billionaires tax breaks.

They do not make sense, they need a remedial math class.

Oh that’s right, there were no pot holes when President Obama was in office.

We know how to spend our tax money better than any ol’ government does. Give us tax breaks and I’m sure we’ll voluntarily fix our roads.
