I am sickened at how many of our men and women have killed and died in wars of opportunity and imperial hubris over actual defense of this nation. Where what we did antagonized and made things much worse than if we hadn’t either attacked or taken a more peaceful way. This is a time of sober reflection not having fun. To learn and understand what our country has done in our name and see where it is nothing less than criminal that the US can get away with because it is truly and imperial power outside of our borders. See where it is going now and the need to stop it from doing so. Having a war with Iran and North Korea or either one is bad all around. Nuclear weapons are still a danger with the US and Russia having thousands and thousands of missiles poised to launch. The US still have them at launch on warning status which is incredibly irresponsible and a sure way of bringing on ecocide even before the AGW can smother us in heat. It might even keep it at bay for a few years while we suffer radioactive long winter. But the heat will come back and if our sun does “wake up” it can make AGW hotter faster than it has been so far since 1970.

So Nuclear Winter will be a temporary fix at best. It doesn’t fix the problem we as a species started 300 years ago and continues to this day. AGW will bring on savage wars and mind numbing dictatorships to “keep us alive”. Freedom will be strangled under need-to-survive-protocols where such things as we have now will be luxuries if not distant memories in as little as 30 years. with some even sooner with humanity not making it or barely so in places like a Green Antarctica and floating city at the North Pole if they set it up and well made self sufficient space stations otherwise the prognosis isn’t good.

In traditional observance, the flag of the United States is raised to the top of the staff and then solemnly lowered to the half-staff position where it remains only until noon. It is then raised to full-staff for the remainder of the day. The half-staff position remembers the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service for the country. At noon their memory is raised by the living, who resolve not to let their sacrifice be in vain, but to rise up in their stead and continue to fight for liberty and justice for all.

“BEST COMIC OF THE DAY”As a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, I thank you. To those who wish to rant and rave about what America has become and how we are responsible for all the evil in the world, “you’re welcome”, I also defended your rights too.
