It probably is the (major) sport that requires the most thinking and strategy.
At least, not on purpose.
I guess Thaves never saw a linebacker get flagged for spearing.
What about the helmet blow to the head in football?
Soccer is a game for thespians; hopefully less so now that the the refs can use video replay.
Back in the day, our football coach told us linemen to aim our helmets at our opponent’s forehead; and with the Canadian rules one-yard-separation, you could build some momentum.
