They’re really going for the emphasis on “BOOKS” here… it was listed two times!! But I think the meaning is deeper than just “we sell books”. The sign shows TWO of the SAME thing, but seems to almost imply that they are separate and different. This is, without a doubt, a demonstration of sheer genius on Olivia’s part. She is telling us, through this sign, that both her Nancy and Guy’s Nancy before her are still both NANCY, however they differ. Truly astounding. Great work, Olivia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid gag, relatively simple, and works. The lettering on the sign seemed a little off, but that’s the only thing I see off about the strip.
