Saving us money with all that defense increase, for tanks the Army doesn’t want or need, or other junk that doesn’t work. Who needs life saving measures for the folks at home, when we can start more wars abroad. Advisor Walrus will work on that.

If you look at history he is just being consistant. The Republicans talk about balanced budgets but their presidents have a history of increasing the debt even more so that those irresponsible Democrat presidents.

Just imagine how the Republicans would literally howl if Obama had put out a 1.3 Trillion budget.

The military doesn’t need a massive increase, they need an audit. Stop building tanks that go directly to storage. Stop ordering new “cool” jets that use technology beyond current capabilities. Start charging companies for the protection provided by the Navy for international shipments. Stop building missiles that cost $800,000 EACH. Develop diplomatic solutions rather than acting like a bully. Cancel the stupid wall.

Don’t forget 1.8 Billion for his precious wall. I hate paying for a wall that is way too expensive and won’t work anyways. Too bad we don’t have some say in these things. Yes, I know, talk to my Congressman…..HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

The idea that Trump has lost his base? How much would you like to bet that Trump is the Republican nominee in 2020, if he is deluded enough to run?

Trump sounded like he was the victim of a terrible budget even though White House staff and GOP congress work together to craft it. Trump is way too busy watching tv to waste his time with “government” stuff.

Lisa Benson, I thought Dick Cheney said “You know, Paul, Reagan proved that deficits don’t matter.” back when he was ruling the country with Haliburton’s Iron Fist™ . Are you going against the holy orthodoxy and saying he was wrong? Excuse while I back away from you a few steps so when the Bolt From Above strikes you down I’m not this close. Sean Hannity will take away your Republican decoder ring! You won’t get invited to the conventions!

    YOUR GUY, Lisa.

If you’re NOT embarrassed by his treason, why be embarrassed about a budget?

The last act of the anti-spending Congress is a $1.3 trillion spending package. Now Trump and the leaders of the GOP are facing a backlash, while Trump is touting the military money as a win, and promises to get more money for the border wall. This will increase military and domestic spending and will keep the government funded through the end of September. Several Republicans came out against the bill, but it was still passed. The massive spending package marks the end of a months-long funding stalemate in which lawmakers were forced to pass one short-term spending bill after another to stave off a shutdown. This package includes money to fight the opioid crisis as well as policy changes to incentivize states to enter more records into the country’s gun background check system and cut off aide to the Palestinian Authority.

The internal GOP backlash to the amount of spending and the process of rushing the measure through just 16 hours after it was released was on full display on the House floor, 25 House republicans broke with their leadership and opposed the usually party line procedural vote bringing up the legislation. The measure still passed 211-207

What Jlocke despairs is that he can’t blame Democrats.
