    “ANAL-YTICITY”? Is that the property of being analytic or of being anal?

    In a quite similar scientific query, we ponder whether toothpaste retains its information capacity after being squeezed from its tube, or if all order is lost. Hawking suggested that the toothpaste never knows it is under pressure until being extruded. Opponents of his theory had to constantly be reminded that one squeezes from the bottom rather than just randomly flattening the tube. Ultimately, it was decided that they needed their own bathroom.

    Wow! Teresa knows the Hawking Equation! At the risk of showing my pedanticity, though, without 2 x pi in the numerator, the h in the denominator needs to have a slash through the stem. I think it’s telling him that he will be back, but only in tiny pieces and only after a few billion years. Not Hawking, but the guy in the drawings.

    Forgive me, Sister T, for I am following the trail blazed by the word ‘analyticity,’ which may have been coined by an academic trying to make a name for his or herself. So many problems in modern philosophy don’t lend themselves readily to analysis, but instead rely on gut instinct to lead us to solutions.

    Maybe that’s just me.

    I scored 35/36 on the math part of the ACT, thus I (& I alone*) have solved

    S = Akc³ ÷ 4Gh’

    In layman’s terms, the solution is …

    poetry + motion sickness = frog applause™

    As for the equation, and too much time in Google Hell, this is the result:

    “S” is the standard deviation…

    Akc (squared) is the American Kennel Club…

    4Gh (to the arcminute) is the 4th generation GoDaddy Hosting Account…

    Can’t wait for Loyola (#11) vs. K-State (#9).

    Nobody as yet has focussed on Sister’s calling this offering “pernicious” cartooning. I wonder if that is an excuse for her questionable treatment of the physics of Black Holes (not that physicists understand it any better than analyticists do). At least this self-consciously cartoonish victim has his fat, ugly (fugly) shoes upon which to teeter as he tumbles asymptotically down the 3X Happy black bunny hole of ever-loving Cartoon Physics!

    Forgive me, BrotherX6 Frank!
