    Good one for Mythbusters. I think it clears the launch guide wire and goes random directions, tending downward.

    Presuming you had enough power to launch it, what would the huge surface area do to the physics of a rocket launch? Would it just slow it down like crazy?

    The PUSH force is at the bottom; the RESISTANCE force is at the top; the balance of the system is unstable. Therefore, it will rotate wildly.
