Aren’t you afraid that the guns will fight back?

You already know that guns are killing people just for the fun of it.

What will stop them from killing us all if we get in their way.

    They aren’t human, after all.

The day is coming, kids are being negatively reinforced about guns. You NRA types don’t think your kids love the shooting drills and living in a prison for hours a day, do you? Yep, you probably do.

It all starts with more anti-gun signage.

Consumers are purchasing millions of guns every year, if we taxed and regulated them like cigarettes we could see that number drop by a third. Guns will still kill people even after sensible legislation on background checks, accessories and the guns themselves. That is what they are for.

The right to bear arms is not in the constitution. It is a right added by amendment to fit the times. Therefore, it can be revoked or modified by amendment to suit changing times or needs.

In those times, the US did not have a standing army, hence the preamble to the right to bear arms, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State”. Those days are long gone.

State gov’t knows who legally owns guns, via registration. Send ’em a nice tax bill every year, just like for cars and dwellings. And levy a heavy tax on all ammo. So the gun owners can help pay for all the new security measures.

One point missing. Guns are the biggest sexual fetish in the States, even higher that automobiles. That won’t be changing.

First we need to reduce the numbers of cop-outs and rationalizations that many above have so kindly posted examples of, then we can start to try and change how our culture relates to guns.

But that’s only if we care about how many children and other innocent people are dying. For many, those lives aren’t worth letting go of the excuses we maintain which permit the ownership of such deadly status symbols.
