Probably not the majority – but it’s an indication of sanity

I find that if you smile, the rest of the world gets suspicious.

Smile, and people will underestimate your intelligence. Speak, and you’ll prove them right.

Those in the majority are clenched in a comic/comments two-step.

I have a T-shirt that says “Smile – it pi**es people off!”

Is that like screaming impotently at the sky?

Scream at the sky and sane people laugh at you.

Scream on twitter and people vote for you.

Smiling is how I make students nervous.

I have a good grounding in social history and realize that what I’m about to say is purely speculative. I truly believe that at no time in history was the world as crazy as it is right now !

Society has regressed and civility ( or any pretense thereof, ) has disappeared to be replaced with “educated” ignorance and intolerance.

To use an old Texas expression:" Folks is just plum ate up with a case of the dumb ass ! "

Just wondering if there’s any particular reason why today’s word balloons seem to all be in boldface.

may be part of the majority but each half of the majority is screaming and complaining about the other half, not those not screaming.

I suspect that “the world has gone stupid” is a phrase often uttered by anyone whose job is dealing with the public on a regular basis.

Wiley left out “misery loves company”.

As I read these and other comics on a daily basis, have to wonder what would happen if Danae, Gracie from Baldo, and Calvin from Calvin ’n Hobbes were ever to get together at once?

I don’t read Baldo, but Danae thinks boys are booger-brained and Calvin thinks girls are slimy and stinky.

If only…

Not sure where generalizing came from exactly given the estimated current world population is well over 7 billion, and so, one is generalizing over 7 billion people?… yyyyeeeeaaaa I call b.s., but to say, this world, around where one lives, isn’t in short supply of people, like that, is a much more accurate way to describe such.

“Smile and the world smiles with you. Cry, and you cry alone.” Really? The entire world smiles as one? How very creepy. Also, what a fair weather community of people.

Right – just look at how many were duped into voting for HilLIARy by Google; most analysis puts it at up to 10 million. The rest were stupid all by themselves . . .
