Babies sometimes do too, I understand. Depending on your mindset, this might be a little racy today.

Because . . . cat. Usually it’s a soft bite and is supposed to be a sign of affection. (Occasionally a little harder and a sign of annoyance, but that does not seem to be the case here).

One of our cats does the love bite sometimes when we stop petting as a way of saying “You were not done”

We used to have a cat that would not rest until she had bitten me on the septum in the morning. OUCH!

But according to her rules, Arlo’s can’t be where it shows when clothed.

We have a cat that awakens me every morning by licking my ears and my hair, and my beard and mustache every morning. She then also in the evening will sit by me on the couch and lick my hands and arms… especially if I stop petting her. She is more “licky” than our dog.

I had a pair of cats; one smart, one dumb. To wake me, smart one would start a chase with the other. Smart cat would land on bedd and jump over me, then gone. Dumb cat landed on my chest, once again getting flying lesson. Meanwhile, Smart cat is sitting grooming like an innocent. But, mission accomplished, and breakfast will soon be served.

When I was a kid I had a cat who LOVED chomping noses. She’d get all snuggled up in your arms, purring away, and then, just when you thought she’d dozed off… CHOMP.

After all these commentators talking about cats biting, I’m glad I don’t have pets.

If you think that’s bad, wait until your cat decides to wash your face with its little sandpaper tongue, or get behind you and groom your hair.

    NO! Not enough information!!

    Janis…

Where are the bites? When were they made? How were they made? Which ones did you enjoy?

Back in the ’70’s hickeys were a way of ‘marking territory’ on your high school steady..

Now the neck action can cause neck artery/vein swelling, and a stroke..sigh.

I immediately thought of Olympia Dukakis’ character in “Moonstruck”: “You got a love bite on your neck”
