    When our boys were lots younger, we rarely were able to get a full dozen cookies into the oven. And, of course, the end product disappeared even more quickly, if we didn’t keep an eye on them

    I make my own pizza, and it always tastes great. If you are an adult, you should have learned to delay gratification for a while to get the greater pleasure later. Well, I guess in this day and age, instant gratification is something a lot of folks have grown up with, so it would be more difficult if not impossible to wait. What a pity!

    Sfreader1, you’re so very correct in that. Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch movies come to mind where the suspense builds over a long time. Nowadays the public is offered a story that has been cooked, cut up into little pieces and chewed up for them. Few people allow themselves to enjoy the journey…they want to get there ASAP and get on to something else

    My wife made homemade pizza from scratch today for lunch, and I polished it off for supper. Was so good I couldn’t wait till breakfast!!
