Yesterday, I went to see “Early Man,” by the same people who made the “Wallace & Gromit” films. And now Ive got the “Wallace & Gromit” theme stuck in my head.

Way back when, when I bought a Marine Band harmonica and taught myself to play using the handy included instructions, one of the first tunes was “Hot Cross Buns” (which I had never heard before). It was a sad little tune. “Dee Dah Dum. Dee Dah Dum. Dum-Dum-Dum-Dum Dah-Dah-Dah-Dah, Dee Dah Dum.” Note I still remember it 40+ years later.

I have an ear worm most days. At this point I only hope it’s different than yesterday’s.

I would think a song Petey thought was beautiful would go more like: “La. La. La.”
