The presidency of Ronald Reagan was marked by multiple scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the largest number for any U.S. president.

In several instances President Reagan was deposed under oath in regards to these activities. Despite daily detailed briefings the president received about some of them - including Iran/Contra - he easily avoided the impeachable offence of perjury by answering each question with a simple “I don’t recall that”, which he repeated dozens of times.

If Mr. Trump’s ego will allow him to give that answer, His impeachment and/or removal will hinge on a change in the composition of Congress.

Now that gerrymandering is officially the law of the land, His chances of escaping justice are better than ever. Massive voter turnout has never happened in the U.S., and that’s what it will take to end this nightmare. Woe to the Republic.

This is so mixed up, Trump himself could have come up with it. Luke didn’t behead Darth Vader, Vader saved Luke and died saving him – in your mess of a toon – Bannon would be throwing the evil Emperor (the GOP? Mitch? The United States?) over the edge and SAVING Trump.

Trump didn’t defeat Bannon- he fired him, leaving him as a free agent to run to Mueller. The reason why he didn’t testify to the Congress, is because he cut a deal with Mueller, and he wants the first crack at the info that Bannon has.

Skywalker was born on a farm and worked with the rebellion to take down the evil empire. Trump is the president. HE is the emperor, the resistance are the brave patriots standing outside Trump Tower.

I’m sure this plays well with the base who like the racist Trump, but the rest of us recognize this for the s-hole that it is.

I think that Payne is pained by reality and runs the other way to avoid it.

As I have said before, Payne has inhaled too much exhaust, I now consider much of it contained lead.

Yet another example of Payne’s maladroit utilization of allegory.
