Unlike Republicans we don’t defend people who are wrong simply because they’re Democrats. Perhaps that’s why Democrats are so weak, but in the end, there are now more moderate-center people in the Democratic party than in the RepubliTea party. That is why the majority of the crazy Tea loons failed to get elected.

Yup. And his replacement wants YOU to die quickly.

Actually, Jade, is was about 50% or better for Tea Party backed candidates. Two of the biggest failed, but others, including Rubio, won.

I think the point of the joke by halfabug was that no one in the current Republican clan, tea backed or not, has the kind of horrendously poor quality of character as Grayson and a couple other Dems. You might call O’Donnell a twit, but she’s got great character.

However, the one upside is that most Dems didn’t seem to want to back Grayson, so I guess that means they too realized he was a jerk. At least Alex Sink, despite her close loss, has character.

^ You didn’t just mention O’Donnell did…really….You can’t be serious. I too enjoy comedians. She should seriously start touring and forget about politics. She’d make tons of money.

Grayson had integrity. His time in office was far too short.

^^ Yes, O’Donnell is a twit and there was never a chance of her winning despite the predictions of someone who knows jack about the US.

@DJGravityX - Tea Party allegiance is subjective to whatever numbers make it look better, because “Tea Party” and “GOP” have long been considered interchangeable. They’re going to vote on the GOP party line.

“I think the point of the joke by halfabug was that no one in the current Republican clan, tea backed or not, has the kind of horrendously poor quality of character as Grayson and a couple other Dems”

Really? Not Paladino “gays are not viable people;” Bachmann “we’ll spill the blood of citizens by taking guns to the streets if we don’t win in 2010;” Angle “gays are worse than terrorists I’m actually writing an official proclamation saying so”? Just Grayson, eh? Riiight. I guess it’s true, people are truly tone-deaf to issues that do not affect them.

I was pleased when Grayson stood up, told the truth in an unvarnished manner about the party of no health care plan. I’m sorry to see him go. Replacing him was a huge mistake.

I agree with cjr53. Grayson was a liberal hero. If more of us had the balls to call it like it is and not pander to the GOP we would not have had our little setback a couple of days ago.
