No mention of the time she got sick during the play about the ladybug?

Marigold is not the understudy at least?

Once, after not getting a part, I was told my audition would be kept in mind in case a need arose. They probably said that to all the rejects, but it’s still comforting.

Wow! This actually got me a tiny bit misty.

I guess that we all understand rejection.

Marigold was just too magnificent for the role. They didn’t want her to outshine all the other actors.

    Violet Snowy Legs?

    What unicorn has violet legs?

Aside from Twilight Sparkle, that is.

In middle school I auditioned for “Aladdin”. When they posted the cast sheet I only looked at the part I’d tried for. I didn’t get it, so I figured that was that.

A few days later a boy came up to me in homeroom. He said that if I didn’t come to the next rehearsal I would be cut from the play. Confused, I replied that I wasn’t in the play. The next week it happened again, this time with a girl who said the teacher was giving me one last chance. I was annoyed. “I’M NOT IN THE PLAY!”

Nobody had told me that everyone who auditioned but didn’t get a part was made an extra. My name had been on the cast list the whole time. At that point I decided to not bother. But I did go see the show. It was great.

Phoebe is depicted as introverted and socially awkward. Who knew she’d make a good actress?
