I learned long ago, if you don’t like a certain task, do it really poorly. Then you never have to do it again.

How long until she takes him for granted? This way, a couple of days of good can get him to the monster movie.

I still don’t understand the concept of making your bed … you’re just going to mess it up again that night!!!

He is in training to be a husband.

Yep! That’s the only time my room gets really cleaned… when I’m looking for something.

If someone like Calvin makes their bed or does other work as a minimal requirement, they’re pretty much doing their job.

good morning. Calvin is me before coffee.

I try to avoid the morning conversations, but I can’t help it this time: Marge, unlike Calvin, you’ve set your standards too high. You slip up one time and everyone notices, while Calvin gets away with murder by underachieving.

Has it occurred to anyone that Christmas is coming and Calvin needs to impress Santa?

mjtemple, this strip is not in synch with reall life. I believe Christmas is in February.

Haha I do that with wearing make up… Wear it every few weeks and everyone comments on how nice you look, but when you wear it every day noone notices any more haha!!

I was going to remark about how similar I was to Calvin and then I discover that nearly everyone here is a slacker. It is good to be around so many who feel okay with accomplishing so little. :-)

LeslieAnne, I think you look nice even without makeup, even though you didn’t respond to either of my music links a couple months ago, or my recent comment relating to Calvin’s and your bubble baths.

Little does Mom know that it wasn’t Calvin, but Hobbes who made the bed.

Do a lot, and it’s always expected of you in the future.

The more you do , the more you get to do. The less you do, the less you have to do.

What a slacker … and at the tender age of 6 too! Unfortunately, it’s only going to get worse from here.

Calvin takes Santa Claus much more seriously. I wonder if we will see him do so over the next few weeks.

Might work with mom ,not going to work with a privately owned co.

A little bit of army will work wonders on your bed making skills.

Thanks Puddleglum2 I’m sorry… I must have missed your comments… We have been very very busy at work!!! My posting and even reading of the comments has been hit and miss! But I’m getting ready to change jobs, so maybe life will be less crazy for me! Now I’m dying of curiosity to go read!!
