My wife’s niece would be chattering along when she hit the need for a word she didn’t know yet. She would stop and look frustrated. (Under two at the time.) Her vocabulary has expanded quite a bit since then. Now she only has to pick words her listeners also know.

My 19 month old granddaughter invents her words as she goes along and hasn’t bothered yet with many of the standard ones.

I got findo and wrock.
