    Howdy Vagabonds

Well it’s 23 on the old thermometer and the forecast looks good for most of the weekend.

When I was a kid the sight of a wild Turkey would get you on the party line to tell everybody about it. How things have changed, the wild Turkey has made a come back in spades. Monday I saw two lines of foot prints, Tuesday I went for the mail and store run. When I came home I discovered a flock of Turkeys had passed through the yard. It looked like a dinosaur track way, three toed footprints all over.

That’s my news, have a really good day and may God bless.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Another nice day with temp in the mid 30’s and up to the 40’s on the weekend. Winter is half over, can you believe that?

Not much to do today except go see the eye doctor for a routine field vision test and exam. Will spend more time waiting than seeing him.

May you all have a good day. Peace to you all.

    Good Foggy morning, Vagabonds,

Another warm morning…..34 degrees! Nice. Fog is so thick we can’t see more than 20 feet. Not too sure if it will leave the frost all over the trees because it’s so warm. We’ll see later.

I started on only one cabinet in the kitchen. It’s amazing what I’ve collected over the years and have never used! I saved 3 Coke bottles……the old heavy green kind. I’m sure they’re worth about 50 cents. Then there are 4 brown Log Cabin 1976 Bicentennial syrup bottles with commemorative scenes molded in the glass. Again, glass, not plastic. And my all time favorite……a jelly glass with Looney Tunes characters painted on it. Has to be 50 years old. Some treasure. It’s a lot more fun cleaning out the cupboards than I thought!

    xoxo to everyone. Happy Trails.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, sometimes cleaning can turn out to be a treasure hunt. Enjoy.

Yesterday we made arrangements to have the car modified to tow. It won’t happen for a couple of weeks because they have to order the base plate, but it’s now in the works.

We counted In-N-Out Burger stands for a lark yesterday. There are now 5 that we know of in the Vegas Valley. (There was only 1 when Michael first came here to work for Quest.) If you’ve never had an In-N-Out, you are missing a really great hamburger. It is one of the few that, if you eat it plain, that the meat actually tastes good. Too many fast food places use short cuts and cook their meat too fast and they end up needing all the condiments to hide the taste. In-N-Out also toasts their buns which makes it even better. They serve only burgers, fries, sodas and shakes, and they do it well. My only complaint is that they use Kennebec potatoes for their fries and it is a variety that I don’t really care for, so I don’t get french fries with the burgers. When we lived in Riverside, we would get the burgers at In-N-Out and go across the street to McDonald’s for fries and take the whole thing home.

Another sunny day in the neighborhood. If you want an interesting perspective on the weather these days, see today’s “Frazz”.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
