All things considered, most of the south is a drain on the American budget. They cost more in social services than they contribute to the good of the country. Let them all secede and have their own “Pre-Civil War” society. When the United Nations holds up Alabama as an example of poverty in a Third World country, maybe that’s the way they want things.

I think the current resident has proven you can still descend the country into chaos for political, as well as monetary, gain. Not to mention the ego stroking you get for your efforts.
